Why does the gold price change every day?
Gold is priced worldwide in US dollars per troy ounce (31.1035 g) and moves all day with supply and demand. The biggest drivers are the strength of the dollar, interest rates, central-bank buying, and political or economic trouble that sends people to gold as a safe haven.
Its price in Jordanian dinars depends on two things at once: the world price in dollars, and the exchange rate of the local currency. Gold can rise locally while the world price stands still, simply because the currency weakened.
