Gold jewellery price calculator
Weight, karat, gram rate, making charge, stones and your country's tax — and the final price itemised line by line, the way the invoice shows it.
Price breakdown
Fill in the weight and the gram rate with valid numbers to see the price.
Built on the same pricing engine the ZahabFlow point of sale runs on: exact decimal arithmetic, no floating point, rounded once at the end.
How to use it
- Pick your country — the currency and tax rule follow, and the gram rate fills in from the market.
- Type the net gold weight and choose the karat.
- Enter the making charge the way your shop charges it: per gram, a percentage or a fixed amount.
- Add the stones if any, and read the breakdown: gold, making, tax and total.
Questions
How do I calculate the price of a gold piece?
Price = (weight × the gram rate for that karat) + making charge + stones + your country's tax. Example: 10 g of 21K at 6,136.25 a gram with 150 a gram making: gold 61,362.50, making 1,500, subtotal 62,862.50 before tax.
Is tax charged on the whole piece?
It depends on the country. The UAE (5%) and Saudi Arabia (15%) tax the full value. Egypt charges 14% only on a government-published making charge. India charges 3% on the metal and 5% on the making. The calculator applies your country's rule automatically.
Where does the gram rate come from?
From the world ounce price converted at the exchange rate, refreshed every minute. It is the market price, not a particular shop's, and you can overwrite it with your own.
Per gram, percentage or fixed making charge — what is the difference?
Per gram: a fixed amount for every gram, the most common. Percentage: a share of the gold value. Fixed: one amount for the whole piece whatever it weighs, used for light, intricate work.
How accurate is it?
It runs on the same pricing engine the ZahabFlow point of sale is built on, with exact decimal arithmetic rounded once at the end. It is still a guide: the legal invoice is the one the shop issues.
