Gold shop software · OMR · Self-declaredGold shop software for Oman
Oman does not have a ready-made pack in ZahabFlow yet, but an Omani shop can sign up today in Omani rials — three decimals — with the tax rate it enters itself.
Tax in Oman: you enter the rate
Oman’s standard VAT rate is 5%, and some kinds of gold are treated differently, so check what applies to your sales with your accountant. The software does not fill the rate in for you.
With self-declaration, one rate is applied to the full value of the invoice. If some of what you sell is exempt and some is taxable, this shape cannot tell them apart yet, so talk to us before you sell.
A worked example
A 10 g bangle at 22K, at an illustrative OMR 43.000 per gram of pure gold, with a making charge of OMR 3.000 per gram, assuming you entered 5%:
| Line | Calculation | Result (OMR) |
|---|---|---|
| Pure gold | 10 × 916 ÷ 1000 | 9.160 g |
| Gold value | 9.160 × 43.000 | 393.880 |
| Making charge | 10 × 3.000 | 30.000 |
| Before tax | — | 423.880 |
| Tax at the entered 5% | 423.880 × 5% | 21.194 |
| Total | — | 445.074 |

What every shop gets
A till priced from the rate of the moment
Price is never stored on a piece. It is rebuilt at every sale from the gram rate, fineness, making charge and tax, then fixed on the invoice.
Stock in grams per karat
Weight is stored in nanograms and fineness as parts per thousand, so pure grams add up and reconcile with no rounding.
Trade-in and buying scrap
The customer pays part of the price in old gold on the sell screen itself, and every gram that comes in is recorded with its cost and source.
Workshop
The customer’s gold on the bench is weighed going out and coming back, and the loss is recorded per craftsman.
Selling without internet
The arithmetic runs on the device itself; the sale waits in a queue, is sent when the connection returns, and the server re-prices it.
Day close
Expected grams per fineness and expected cash, against what you counted, with the difference recorded and a note.
Arabic and English
Arabic first, right to left, with full English — one tap to switch.
Questions we are asked
Does it work to the baisa?
Yes. The Omani rial has three decimals; the software takes that from the currency itself and rounds to the baisa once, at the end.
Can it tell taxable gold from exempt gold?
Not with self-declaration: one rate on the full value. If you need the distinction, talk to us.
Does it support trade-in?
Yes: the customer pays part of the price in old gold on the sell screen itself, and the incoming gold is recorded with its cost and source.
