Gold shop software · QAR · Self-declaredGold shop software for Qatar
Qatar does not have a ready-made pack in ZahabFlow yet, but a Qatari shop can sign up today: choose the Qatari riyal, enter the tax rate that applies to you — zero if there is no VAT — and start selling.
Tax in Qatar: you enter the rate
When you sign up from Qatar, the software asks for two things only: the currency and one tax rate. We do not fill the rate in for you.
If you enter zero, your invoices carry no tax. If VAT is introduced later, you enter its rate and it is charged on the full value of the invoice.
One rate on the full value is the only shape available by self-declaration. If your rule is more complex — tax on the making charge only, for example — talk to us before you sell.
A worked example
A 10 g ring at 21K, at an illustrative QAR 405 per gram of pure gold, with a making charge of QAR 30 per gram and a tax rate of zero:
| Line | Calculation | Result (QAR) |
|---|---|---|
| Pure gold | 10 × 875 ÷ 1000 | 8.750 g |
| Gold value | 8.750 × 405 | 3,543.75 |
| Making charge | 10 × 30 | 300.00 |
| Total | — | 3,843.75 |
Prices in the example are illustrative, not today’s rates.

What to know before you start

What every shop gets
A till priced from the rate of the moment
Price is never stored on a piece. It is rebuilt at every sale from the gram rate, fineness, making charge and tax, then fixed on the invoice.
Stock in grams per karat
Weight is stored in nanograms and fineness as parts per thousand, so pure grams add up and reconcile with no rounding.
Trade-in and buying scrap
The customer pays part of the price in old gold on the sell screen itself, and every gram that comes in is recorded with its cost and source.
Workshop
The customer’s gold on the bench is weighed going out and coming back, and the loss is recorded per craftsman.
Selling without internet
The arithmetic runs on the device itself; the sale waits in a queue, is sent when the connection returns, and the server re-prices it.
Day close
Expected grams per fineness and expected cash, against what you counted, with the difference recorded and a note.
Arabic and English
Arabic first, right to left, with full English — one tap to switch.
Questions we are asked
Can I use it in Qatar today?
Yes. Sign-up is open to every country: choose the Qatari riyal and enter your tax rate, and pricing, offline selling and invoices work as they do anywhere else.
What do I enter as the tax rate?
The rate that applies to your gold sales. If there is no VAT, enter zero. If you are not sure, ask your accountant before signing up.
Does it calculate the shop’s zakat?
There is no zakat report in the software. But the stock screen gives you the pure grams per fineness, which is the number the calculation starts from.
