Gold shop software for Jordan

Jordan does not have a ready-made pack in ZahabFlow yet, but a Jordanian shop can sign up today in Jordanian dinars and enter the tax rate that applies to it.

Tax in Jordan: you enter the rate

Sales tax on gold and jewellery in Jordan has its own rules, different from the general rate. So we quote no number here and do not fill one in for you: check the rate with your accountant and enter it at sign-up.

Self-declaration applies one rate to the full value of the invoice. If your tax falls on the making charge only, or is a fixed amount per gram, this shape cannot express it yet, so talk to us before you sell.

A worked example

  • What you enter is recorded as "self-declared by the shop, not verified".

What every shop gets

A till priced from the rate of the moment

Price is never stored on a piece. It is rebuilt at every sale from the gram rate, fineness, making charge and tax, then fixed on the invoice.

Stock in grams per karat

Weight is stored in nanograms and fineness as parts per thousand, so pure grams add up and reconcile with no rounding.

Trade-in and buying scrap

The customer pays part of the price in old gold on the sell screen itself, and every gram that comes in is recorded with its cost and source.

Workshop

The customer’s gold on the bench is weighed going out and coming back, and the loss is recorded per craftsman.

Selling without internet

The arithmetic runs on the device itself; the sale waits in a queue, is sent when the connection returns, and the server re-prices it.

Day close

Expected grams per fineness and expected cash, against what you counted, with the difference recorded and a note.

Arabic and English

Arabic first, right to left, with full English — one tap to switch.

Questions we are asked

Does it work in Jordanian dinars to three decimals?

Yes. The number of decimals is taken from the currency itself at sign-up.

Why don’t you state the tax rate on gold in Jordan?

Because its rules are specific and can change, and a wrong rate on the invoice is paid for by the owner at the audit. It is safer that you enter it after checking with your accountant.

Is there a day close?

Yes. The close screen shows the expected grams per fineness and the expected cash; you enter what you counted, and the difference is recorded with your note.
